| The Viking
coaching staff believes that if we can improve our players'
strength, speed, power, agility, stamina, and flexibility,
a player will have a better chance of being successful in
the game of baseball. Our strength and conditioning program
is specifically designed for that of a baseball player. The
Danville High School baseball program is fortunate to have
access to the nearly 2,000 square foot Bigger Faster Stronger
weight room. The weight room project, completed in 2000, converted
an old gymnasium into the current weight room. The Viking
baseball team works out three days a week. The conditioning
program consists of twenty stations, focusing on upper body
lifts, lower body lifts, plyometrics, agilities, sprints,
and distance running. |
