After School Student Pick-Up
All students should wait for their rides by the Clock Tower Entrance on Jackson Street after school hours. The Circle Drive entrance should not be used after school as a waiting area.
Sadie Hawkins Date Requests
Date Request Forms are required for DHS students
bringing non-DHS students to the Sadie Hawkins dance. Dates cannot be older than 20 and cannot be in Middle School. Forms can be picked up in The New Tech Office - room 317 by Feb. 24
Student Council will be hosting the Winter Blood Drive Tuesday, February 23, from 8-1 in the gym. We will begin taking appointments during the week of February 15 during all lunch hours. To donate blood, you must be a current DHS student or staff member and at least 16 years old. Other restrictions apply, please see the donor registration table for details.
SENIORS - COMPLETION OF THE ACT TEST IS A DHS GRADUATION REQUIREMENT.
Identification Cards: Students must have an intact and legible DHS identification card at all times.
The 21st Century Program is a grant funded program awarded to Project Success. Its mission is to help students who are behind in classes or who are failing classes. The after school program is focused on academic achievement and is designed to provide a comprehensive after school component that includes tutoring, review checks for homework, review for quizzes/tests, help with learning strategies, and eventually a software that will help with credit recovery. The program runs Mon-Thurs from 3:00-5:00pm. Excep ton early out days which are 2:00-4:00pm. A calendar is provided to everyone who participates in the program to help keep you on track. There are certified teachers helping with the program. Transportation is provided for students if needed. Please see Mr. Asim Osaze (444-1510) in Room 324B for more information.
